Our History
With a proud history dating back more than 20 years, Rollwell Engineering was established, and continues to operate, on the foundations of quality, dedication and service. Regularly working with some of Perth’s highest profile organisations, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of precision and to going the extra mile to help our clients achieve optimal project outcomes. Since our inception, we have maintained a highly flexible and adaptive approach, ensuring we’re able to cost-effectively assist a wide variety of clients with differing project requirements. From the smallest welding job right through to multi-million-dollar design, fabrication and installation projects, all our clients benefit from our efficiency and ‘can-do’ culture. Despite having grown considerably over the last 20 years, we value the responsibility entrusted to us by all our clients, large and small, and continually strive to exceed their expectations with the solutions and service we provide.
established in 1995
1995
Rollwell Engineering was established and started out in Kwinana as a small, family-owned fabrication business predominantly servicing Perth’s mining and oil and gas sectors. From the very beginning, we adopted a proactive approach; taking the time to understand how our products were required to perform across all phases of our clients’ projects.
1998
As our reputation for providing high quality fabrication solutions grew, so too did our team and the number of clients we were servicing. To continue meeting demand, we relocated to our current premises in Kwinana.
2005
With our capabilities and the size of our projects continuing to expand, 2005 saw us undertake a significant expansion of our existing facilities which effectively doubled the size of our workshop and substantially increased our hardstand area. This enabled us to manage even larger steel fabrication, welding and assembly projects all under one roof and provide more efficient and cost-effective solutions to our growing WA client base.
2012
Experiencing increased demand for end-to-end fabrication solutions, in 2012 our office team was expanded to encompass design and detailing capabilities. This enabled us to provide more cohesive solutions to our clients and work with them to deliver fully customised design and fabrication solutions.
2013
Committed to continually upholding and improving on the quality of our products, in 2013 Rollwell Engineering implemented our first ISO 9001 Quality Management System. This resulted in a more formalised approach to maintaining quality and ensured all staff were provided with the necessary training to uphold the high standards expected by our clients.
March/April 2018
In 2018, looking forward to retirement, Rollwell’s original owner sold the business to Future Engineering and Communications and, in the coming months a small consortium of existing staff, including long-time employee Tyler Keeping bought into the company, expanding its shareholders. Originally joining the business in 2005, Tyler began his early days with the company as a Boilermaker and Welder before steadily progressing through Project Coordinator and Project Manager Roles. Upon becoming part owner of the business, Tyler also took over the role of Managing Director which he still currently holds.
Late 2018
Since assuming his role as Managing Director, Tyler has focused on continually enhancing Rollwell Engineering’s capabilities, service and reputation for quality. Under his leadership, we have further expanded our design capabilities enabling us to assume complete responsibility for delivering fully customised design, engineering, shop drawing, 3D modelling and prototyping services. We also continued to grow our field capabilities enabling us to execute a wide range of fabrication, welding and site installation and commissioning tasks throughout Perth and WA.
2019
Expanding on our existing quality accreditation, in 2019 we implemented a complete Integrated Management System (IMS) that encompassed ISO Accreditations spanning not only quality but also safety and environmental management. Our IMS documents a series of regularly audited policies, plans, procedures and instructions that enable us to maintain the highest standards of quality, safety and environmental responsibility across our service delivery.
