Gorgon Project

Operated by Chevron Australia, Gorgon is one of the world’s largest LNG projects and the largest single resource project in Australia. Located on the Class A Nature Reserve of Barrow Island, 50 kilometres northwest of WA’s Pilbara coast, Gorgon is comprised of a 15.6million tonne per annum LNG facility and domestic gas plant. Gorgon began supplying gas to the Western Australian market in 2016 and the project has an estimated lifespan of more than 40 years.

Rollwell Engineering was contracted by CKJV to draft, supply, manufacture and provide surface treatment for several thousand instrument and electrical stands, structural steel packages, pipe support packages and bearing plates. These products were supplied and installed during various stages of the Gorgon project’s construction.
